Most Americans get Memorial Day flag protocol wrong

On Memorial Day, the flag is flown at half-staff from sunrise until noon, then raised to full-staff until sunset. The first half honors the fallen. The second half symbolizes the resolve of the living to carry on the cause for which they died.
